$13,000 pretty firm. I dropped it $1000 from my original asking price of $14,000 because of damage to the passenger quarter panel you can see in the last picture that happened recently. I hit a construction pole with the reflectors on top to avoid someone smashing into me. You will not find a nicer type R with this much work and low miles on body, engine, and aftermarket parts that still act and look brand or a brand new transmission with only 10000 miles in this price range.
Currently the side rocker and mud flap, on passenger side is off because one hole on the rocker got striped. It's an easy fix, just bolt it back on. I have all the pieces still.
Since I got the car I changed cv axels to gator axels and wheel bearing left front passenger side. I replaced the rack n pinion, the clutch master cyclinder, and just put in a new Honda distributor in. I only used Fresh High performance mobile one synthetic oil and mobile one oil filter they say good up to 15,000 miles before changing again, but I change every 3000 miles it's been about 2000 since it's last change. I just put Fresh BRAND NEW Yokohama S Drive 215/40R/17 tires on it, new tire rods, and did an aliment. I also just re tinted the car. Brand new Type R Transmission with only 10000 miles on it it's in perfect condition. The best type r LSD 4.4 transmission in the whole world! I also straight piped the exhaust. No one has a better one! Really don't want to let the car go, but I could use the money and start a new project.
Here is the list and story I was told when I bought it. Its still a Clear Title not salvage or rebulid. Just has a spot that says Flood Damage, but what ever flood damage was done happened in Texas of 1998 and you can not tell at all that it had ever been flooded. Very clean car in and out. This is the info I got when I bought it.This car was originally from Honda of America Racing Division after it was flooded the (flood damaged title) and was sent to the 4 time Championship IMSA race team I was part of in the 90's, it was the team owners daily driver and was used for needed parts at the tracks on the weekends. When the car was retired from racing I acquired it for my then teen aged daughter who drove it all through high school. We spent the weekends tuning the car until she left for college and it was stored.
Hi-lites include 2 trophies, one Nopi in Atlanta, and one local show.Lo-lites include some guard rail damage to the right rear quarter, and front end damage from another oops. All damage has been repaired with new parts over the years by one high end body genius. I honestly can't even tell there was any damage. I only see one little scratch on the door handle of passenger side probably not even a inch and barely noticeable.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications: Engine: Skunk2 stage 2 cams, Titanium spring retainers, RC Engineering injectors, DC Sports fuel rail, clutch Masters ceramic clutch, pressure plate, and 9 lb. flywheel, AEM fresh air intake, Fluidyne aluminum radiator, twin Redline fans, Hondata S300 ECM, DC Sports 4-2-1 headers and stainless exhaust.
Suspension Modifications: Suspension: Hawk brake pads, cross drilled front rotors, Hardrace bushings, Koni adjustable shocks, Eibach springs, Skunk 2 Pro Series front upper adjustable control arms, Function 7 billet aluminum lower rear control arms, Skunk 2 adjustable camber arms, DC Sports uper and lower strut braces, all stock uprights and swing arms freshly powder coated splatter red / silver. Wheels/Tires
Modifications: Fresh BRAND NEW Yokohama S Drive 215/40R/17 tires on SSR Type C RS gun metal gray powder coated wheels Interior/Exterior Modifications: Body: Fresh Championship White, VIS Racing Sports carbon fiber hood, Carbon Creations carbon fiber rear wing, Stillen urethane front nose, blacked out tail lights, black halogen head lights with angel rings, clear / black turn signal lights, a majority of the exterior rubber trim / seals have been replaced OEM fresh.
Interior: Sparco Milano leather race buckets, DC Sports Shifter, all carpets, Type R mats, door panels, in Good /Fair condition (slight wear, no holes, cracks, or splits).
Future Modifications: Sound System: Really nice tuner CD/MP3/USB/AUX/HD Radio/(adaptor for Bluetooth and GPS) the Bluetooth adapter GPS you have to buy separate, all new OEM position Pioneer speakers.
Just had the car dynoed and tuned with the S300 Hondata computer so she ready to go.
Extras: a 800 watt amp. wiring, and 2 each 10" Type R Alpine speakers in speaker box. Still needs to be done: ABS light on not sure if there's any issue with it (brakes fine and good), gas door cable needs to be replaced. The car is truly a piece of art. Still looks brand new.
