Antique Harp Back Piano Chair with Adjustable seat. Rare Design
Metal Plate "MICH CHAIR CO PATENTED May 18, 1887"
There is normal wear for a chair of this age.
The Front Legs have loosened over time; and, it appears that there has been a cleaver repair where one of the legs joins the rail (see photo).
The finish is NOT perfect, and the chair may have been refinished or varnished at some time.
Provenance: This piano chair came from my Great, Great Grandfather's parlor in Munith, Michigan, Jackson County, 1870 - 1954. The farmhouse is shown in some of the photos. Photos are Not included in the purchase.
