Hobie Mirage Adventure sailing kayak with paddles and pedals. The paddles and pedals and the sail/mast and centerboard keel are all Hobie components. It is 15'7" long and 24.5" wide and weighs 51 lbs. with a maximum weight capacity of 350 lbs. (159 kg.} The 4 inflatable outriggers really add to the stability of the kayak in rough waters as well as in windy sailing conditions. The bow makes quite a splash when sailing in15-20 mph winds which I have done in the open waters of the intercostals. The kayak moves along faster with the sail in a good wind than the paddles or pedals can ever move it along. The rudder is an extended length component as are the fins on the pedal drive for more power and speed when using the pedals. This kayak moves along nicely on calm waters but the real fun is sailing it on a broad reach in windy conditions. Accessories included is a comfortable West Marine self inflating life jacket and a Pelican hand pump to easily empty water from the hull. Also included is a 12 volt inflator for the outriggers and a simple home made dolly that attaches to the kayak. A person can learn the fundamentals of sailing. A knowledgeable sailor can really have a great time on a windy day on the water.
